I know a lot of people put ground effects on LX's, but how difficult is it to make a GT look like an LX? I really like the look of the LX hatchbacks better with those exhaust pipes sticking out from under the bumper, the cleaner lines in general and the extra weight savings.

I have always liked the clean lx look, but GT's look mean when built right. One day when I paint my car I might convert to the LX, but then again maby I'll stick to the GT. If you look into the NMRA, there are plenty of GT's running in the same class, if there was a real advantage, there would be nothing but LX coupes. If you do it for anything, it's looks. Clean LX, or Mean GT.

I converted to lx from a gt. I have or should i say had a 87 Gt and i got hit at the local shopping mall when i wasnt in my car, so i said wtf lets go lx. Not that hard to convert, just filling in a few holes. Also if you have a sun roof, u might change your mind if you pull off the side skirts and find out that you have a huge rust hole that has eaten most of your rocker and 1/4 panel, mainly due to the drainage hose from the sunroof. Other then that i love the look now that i converted. Not hard at all and u can sell the kit after for some pretty sweet prices. My conversion cost me about $60 in total. ( thats in Canadian funds...lol) And that was for both bumpers and moldings. So giver ****, u wont be dissapointed after it is finished.
