Decided im going to keep the S-trim, what would be a good cam for me?

I was going to re-use the stock cam since I planned on going turbo soon but I changed my mind. The S-trim has treated me well so far so im gonna keep it for a little while. What would be a good cam for me? Ill have a stock(rebuilt) 302 with ported twisted wedge heads, a cobra intake and an array of boltons along with the S-trim. I also have 1.6 rockers. Whats a good cam for me? Im on a time limit so I think that makes custom grind cams outta the question.

All these plus more (andersone cams) would all work great. The cheapest out of all of them is the 1087 ($145+plus tax to your door) which I'm pretty sure will out run the other two.

Even with stock pistons and trickflow heads? Are these all made for 1.6 rockers? Wyt, wasnt the 1087 on ebay for cheap too?

That's why it's the cheapest the guys located in Davie. And yes they will all have plenty of p&v cleaance and work with 1.6rr. All though the spec for the 2031 is with 1.7rr (513/529) you can use 1.6 you will get a bit small lift. I can't remember the equation to figure out lifts with RR for the life of me, so you may want to ask some one or search the net for the equation. So you can see what lift the 2031 would be with 1.6rr.

If that cam has .513/.529" lift with 1.7's, then it will come out to .483/.498" lift with 1.6's.

Wytstang, I couldnt find anyone under that name selling cams but I did a search and I think this is the guy your talking about. Does anyone want to comfirm that this cam is good for me? Im gonna be using 1.6 rockers.

"If" I has a set of TW heads and didn't want to spend the $$ and wait time for custom this would be the came I would run. "If" I go with gt40p heads the 1190 would be perfect to mill the crap out of the heads and not wory to much about PV cleanace.

*I* would go with 1087 with TW heads, hell if Jay Allen was able to go 11.47 N/A on Streetheats in a 91 gt at over 3200lbs shifting between 5800-6000rpms with 4.10's and 26 X 10's tires, what could that cam do with some psi's. Read the 2nd link above that I posted
