UPS finally decided to deliver my toys... :D

To keep this tech, I highly recommend getting the TB pipe if you still have the stock one. The stock one has the ribs AND a HUGE dimple near the TB. I can't understand why it has so many bends and crap in it. The DeMolet Densecharger pipe is just a nice clear pipe! I tried to take a pic of the inside of the stock pipe but I have poor lighting in the room. Though if you just look at it, you know it's a piece of junk. Took 10 minutes to install, was hard to get some of the stuff off the old pipe.

Going to the track tonight, hopefully I break into the 13's even though the night is going to be -really- cold. :( My Kuhmo's are going to SUCK for traction.

Actually, you don't HAVE to wear a helmet. It depends on what your track rules are. Typically an NHRA/IHRA track require a helmet if you are running 13.99 or faster in the 1/4 mile.
thats interesting, because both my local tracks require a helmet no matter how fast or slow you are running. even if your vtek civic runs 18's, you still need a helmet.

:( Well the track sucked, long story, it'll be another thread. I have car problems with that tb pipe... crazy idle and bizarre engine performance.
I have questions to ask in another thread.

Anyways, I got the helmet from http://www.helmetsetc.com/
$97 shipped. It's a HJC CS-Format 12. SNELL M2000 and DOT approved.

There were a few other stores that were cheaper but took 2 weeks to ship :( So I went with HelmetsEtc.

There also are less flashy helmets, plain black/white/red/etc for $60 but they were only DOT approved. I think most tracks require a SNELL 90 rating. The tracks I goto require one if you go faster than 14.0.

I knew my size since my sister's bf has a motorcycle and 2 helmets and most of the stores that I found online (I did a search at yahoo for "motorcycle helmets") had size guides.

Looks cool - my wife wants a pipe for her 01 GT, like the C&L Trueflow pipe on my 02 GT. Do you know if the Densecharger pipe works with the stock TB and C&L 80mm MAF on her 01 GT? And how much does it cost compared to the $149 retail for the C&L? Thanks!

It cost $60 shipped and I have a C&L 80mm MAF. It has an adapter to fit the stock tb :nice:

You take the adapter out to use a bigger tb.

Thanks JonJon - just found it on their website for the price you quoted. Now you are complete, from filter to plenum - love to here how quick you go now.
Had a horrible day at the track :(
Best run was a 14.20 @ 100 but I didn't get a time slip since I was the VERY first run. It was a cold 50 and fell to low 40's. Kuhmo's are NOT good at all. :notnice:

One run I ran 14.6 @ 100 with 2.66 60'
A WS6 ran 14.0 later in the night. Track sucked for street tire folk.

I am teh lose. :notnice:

wow someone beat my crappiest 60 time ever :stick: :p . i had similar conditions the other night & ran a 2.526 60ft :nonono: but i found out that the more worn my tires get, the worse they hook on the track, but they seem to hook better on the street  here come teh nittos now though

and what kind of troubles are you having with the tube?

I ran a 2.7 for the last run of the night. This was after the track shut down for an hour for some spill... It was incredibly bad after that. I ran once and stopped. 15.0 with 2.7 60' Waaaaaay too cold for my Kuhmo's. I need DR's.

:(
I'm throwing on my snow tires next time, 66lbs less rotating mass and 5000 times more sidewall. They still suck, but not as bad as the Kuhmo's.

The TB pipe is causing my car to idle CRAZY. I'm going to post a thread with vid tonight hopefully. I just recorded the weird idle with my digicamcorder.

overall, I had a horrible night at the track. racing. met a lot of cool people including a Mach 1 from mach1registry.com that ran 12.3 @ 111 with a best of 12.04 at Englishtown.

Gotta get better at driving and not use Kuhmo's. :notnice:
