Hello

my car mods are in the sig and with the trick flow street intake and BBK lowering springs my best 1/8th e.t. was 8.06 at 88 mph with 1.70 60'. using a car math calculator that equals a 12.6 in the 1/4. I am a little dissapointed. since then I installed the performer RPM II and it still feels sluggish. I have a burned superchip and my timing is at 14 the fuel pressure is at 36 with vacuum and 24 lb injectors. Any suggestions, should I pay for a dyno tune or are my numbers reasonable. I have aluminum heads and removed the spare what should the weight of my vehicle be?
thanks for the help

You have any work done to those GT40X heads? Those heads seem to be kind of maligned by a lot of people.

36psi fuel pressure with vaccume??? Kind of high don't you think? that would make it about 46psi with no vaccume or WOT! I have mine set to 37psi w/o vaccume, it reads about 27-28 with vaccume.

Good times and really good MPH on the 1/8th.

ok you ready to run 12.00's or better listen up

-New Fuel Filter
-New Spark Plugs
-Check Cap&Rotor
-Adjust TPS make sure its at .99
-Manually Check By ThottleBody To Make Sure Its Going WOT
-Adjust Fuel Pressure To 40psi no vac (Dyno Tune Will Be Most Accurate!)

As far as dyno tune, you can pay get a couple a/f pulls and adjust timing and FP yourself, its easy stuff...just need dyno time.

I dyno tuned my car, I would have to say you got alot invested in the motor what is paying $100 to make sure its all running properly? You dont want to be running too lean or too rich.

Good luck! Keep us posted how its coming

thanks guys

the heads are unported. I am running a 70mm throttle body. Yeah I am thinking about a good dyno tune. The cap and rotor have just been replaced along with a MSD 6A ignition and wires. This next weekend I will be heading to the track and will be playing with the timing and fuel pressure. If my times do not get better I think I will look into a dyno tune. By the way, how do you adjust the TPS? thanks NeQx, hopefully I will be running 12.00 , I feel like I should be able to!

you stick needles into the TPS wires to probe them and use a multimeter to check voltage...
