Does your SLP X-Pipe hang low?

I just got mine put on yesterday and the cats hang pretty freakin' low to the ground. I scraped going over train tracks today that I've never scraped on before. I've got the Eibach Pro-Kit on the car so I'm sitting lower than stock. Any advice? Or I am going to have to save up a couple bucks and get SLP's "racing pipes" and save the cats for inspection time?

Yeah, the SLP X is way low. I scraped a few times even before I installed my H&R SS springs. Now I scrape all the time. It's a shame because their catback fits perfectly.

yep...my car is lowered with H&R...I'm like 6" form the ground..their cats are pretty big...those cats are the lowest things on my car...sux coze the sound/performance/quality is really good....maybe I'll get the new bassani cats..they are pretty small

My car is at the stock height so far but the SLP x-pipe is definetly low. I'll probably only lower the car about an inch when that time comes around

yeah hopefully they will come with smaller cats...for now..just be careful on bumps...

I have one on my mach and it isn't too low ( put jack under it when you tighten everything up) But I'm haveing a problem with the manifold flange leaking on the driver side... Anyone else have this problem?????

yes got the same problem at first but then the shop managed to fix it...dunno what they did though.
is ur car lowered ?

You changed the studs, didn't you? We didn't change them at first and started to put it on....make sure you change them. Hopefully this concerns the 4V engines, if not disregard this post.

You guys put the car up on jack stands and loosen all of the clamps on the x-pipe. then put the jack under the x pipe and slowly jack it up. after it goes up retightened the clamps and I think your clearance problems will be gone. This is what I did to get it snug

Exactly what white stang says should fix it. But you need to have ALL the clamps loose. Also remember that the driver side manifold has a ball flange so there is quite a bit of adjustment in it. So this should also be loosened before jacking it up at the X.

Yup it was the same problem for me...I guess that's what I get for rushing....

see my pics: it hangs really low...I would say around 6 or 7" from the ground...my car is lowered around 2" with H&R

We did that towards the back of the X pipe, but there's no way to really adjust the height where the cats are, is there?

Remember, on the driver side the flange is a ball flange so there actually is A LOT of room for adjustment. And it looks like your driver side cat is lowest. If you loosen the bolts/studs on the driver side flange along with all the clamps then you should be able to push that one up and gain more clearance.
