Dude, you have put some good effort and cash into your car. Its one of my favorite cars of our years for sure. The interior looks second to none, with the exception of the upside down bullitt knob. Get a dab of thread locker and let it dry overnight in the right position. I did that with mine, and was still able to break it loose when I replaced my boot.
I would go with black on the boost numbers personally. I think it would blend a little better. Nice work with the shift knob, I wondered why you would leave it upside down when the rest of your car is so nice and detailed! Do you already have a taker for your old cobra bumper? If not, PM me about it.
any more details on how you mounted the radio? I will be doing this....i've had the dash for a while. Will probably get the radio this winter sometime.
Its all good on the bumper man, and yes, shipping sucks. You were saying that now you are going to focus on making your car fast. A blown Cobra motor doesnt get it done for you, huh? Try rocking a nearly stock GT motor for a while buddy!
I once had a stock new edge GT
I know what you mean.. But then when you upgrade to a faster car, it doesn't seem as fast as it used to be, so you ALWAYS want more..
The ENTIRE reason I bought this car was because my mod motor was too expensive to modify at the time and I wanted a fast mustang, not a pretty one.. (my GT was even prettier than this car)..
Well, once I got this car, I hated the looks and I just got carried away.. SO after 4 years, I'm getting back on track..
My new motor will be able to support any amount of boost that I could ever throw at it, so my power level will only be determined by what blower I'm running and what gas I want to feed it..
The only thing that scares me is that I'll build this 800 horse motor and have enough power to loose control and wrap it around a tree, breaking my heart..
Exactly man. Im hyjacking your thread and apologize for doing so, but I was putting some thought into a new engine also. My thinking is that anything over 4-500 hp on the street is almost useless. You will hardly be able to have any traction if you want to get on it. You will most likely get smoked off a light even by a civic, unless you do some heavy suspension mods also. It would be fun for the track and toughness factor, but necessary, not really. (Unless you like racing from a 50mph roll...)

It took some fabrication but overall was really easy..
I used a BEST KITS FMK554 Double Din mounting bracket..
I then centered it in the ac bezel (out of car) and glued it to the bezel..
once I was happy with how it was centered and level, I fiberglassed the mounting kit to the bezel.. I put about two layers of glass weave all the way around..
Sorry, I did not take pictures..
Once I mounted the Alpine in the mounting kit using the iso screws on the sides, I took some flatbar and bent it to at a 90 degree angle and then mounted it to the horizontal metal support in the dash that the original ac bezel used to attach to... after about 2 tries just using guess and check, I got my alpine to rest firmly on it after sliding it into place...
thats it. it all fits tight..
The shifter bezel is hard to get in, but once you snap it in, it locks the dash bezel into place..

I think i gotcha....
5 second paint drawings FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only part i didnt follow...the brace you put in. Is it like one of the 2 options below? It'll prolly make more sense once i crack it open in a few weeks.
The stock radio mount in my 02 was messed up when i got it, ill post pics of what i made to fix the problem. No fiberglassing, just bent up a simple bracket to bolt the radio trim kit to
