I've got my Dr. Gas sitting in my house.
Install on Tuesday!
I have two brand new carsound hi-flow cats that I got for $30/ea.
I'm in Arizona and have to pass emissions in 2 years.
We have "Smog Dogs" here. :notnice:
Figured I'd put them on so I could just jave some piece of mind with Cops/Emmissions blah blah.
Questions are:
With Cats...
1. How much difference in sound?
2. How much difference in performance?
3. Should I just install the pipe and put on cats once I get caught or have to pass emissions?
4. What would you do?

I personally like the sound of mine with them I have ran mine with and without , its quiet enough to get you by most police without being their number one target , but it flows enough to get plenty of the power and actually seems like it has more low end grunt with than without them .

Yeah, I've heard that Cats can acutally add more HP/TQ due to more back pressure.

GI Joe gained over 30 rwtq by switching from a catted H to an off-road Dr. Gas. I know that my cats are robbing me of TQ.

I would put the off-road on until they start emissions testing and then add the cats.

I got cats welded into mine. The only negative is cost; the install was $150. Personally, I like the sound of a catted-x better, plus I don't have to worry about switching out pipes for emission and my car doesn't smell like a lawnmower.
