My Expedition most likely has a bent intake valve (zero compresion on #5 and air comes out the intake on a leak down test). I am ready to remove the head but I had a question about the timing. I am taking the driver side head in to a machine shop so they can do the valve work for me. I assume they will need to remove the cam when they do the work.
When I get it back, am I safe relying on aligning the timing marks on the sprockets with the bright links on the timing chains? Or is there anything else I need to make sure my timing is not off when I put it back together?
BTW its a 99 Exp 4.6 SOHC
