Its time for a new catback...my rustmasters are making all kinds of wierd, ****ty noises.

Ive got MAC long tubes, o/r H pipe...im looking for something that will be quiet and tame under normal acceleration, but loud when I get on it.

I was thinking about FRPP ( basically borla I thought)

Maybe magnaflow.....im not looking to spend over 400 so bassani is out of the question.

I think there are two Ford Racing catbacks.

One is a stock-type muffler that supposidly isn't too much louder than stock, and the other is the Borla style muffler.

The stock-type is cheap, I THINK I remember seeing it under $300 a while back.

The Borla type is expensive last time I checked.

The bassani sounds like a good price. I don't think id waste the money on something thats only a little better than stock. I'd love to have bassani.

I do NOT agree with the Bassani Bx suggestion.

The Bx line by Bassani is not stainless steel. This means that you will be posting back here in two years with the same problem that youre going through right now, rust problems.

I would encourage you to pick up a stainless system. Sure, they may be a little more than what you wish to spend however they will pay for themselves in terms of longevity. I would wait to save up a few more pennies and get a stainless steel catback

I disagree with bx bassani only lasting two years!! If you dont drive it in the snow with the roads being salted the bx will do just fine and last alot longer than 2 years. And I have seen them on ebay for little more than 400. Just dont get crap SLP, dont make it sound like a chevy!!!!! O and the bx is not stainless and doesnt come with the baffles, just an economy bassani system.

You might want to hunt around on Summit Racing, you might be able to find it with minimal to zero shipping charges.

That's exactly why I got the Dynomax. Under normal conditions, it's hardly louder than stock, but at WOT, ther's no mistaking it's a top of the line mandrel bent racing exhaust.

Just personal preference. For me, it's part of having a "sleeper". I like pulling up on people that think I'm stock.

I do miss the "rumble" sometimes though.

don't want to attract too much attention. i like my setup. quiet but noticeable at idle, not too loud when cruising, loud but not obnoxious when getting on it.

I have MAC Long tubes and an o/r H pipe...so its gonna be "loud" no matter what I put on there.

I dont mind it being loud but I dont want to have no tone, obnoxious, slp ****.

I was thinking about magnapacks but I dont know if they will sound bad
