I'm looking at a 97 f150 that’s mint. I did the usual checks and found fresh uncontaminated oil and fresh antifreeze . However the oil cap at the very end had a some milkshake and there was some on the filler neck too but it was not green. Can any one tell me if this is normal since the truck has been sitting two months with many short starts. In comparison my 3.0 aerostar that has had a green milkshake at the cap for a year, although not as much and my 5.0 has never had it. I put $100.00 down the f150 until Monday. monday.

Thanks

Yea, its normal condensation, especialy if its not run for long periods of time, or if the motor doesnt stay running long enough to burn off the condensation that builds up. As long as the oil is fresh looking. My 98 had the same exact thing and it was barely broken inn at 53000 documented miles, that milky stuff on the filler cap went away since I drive at least 60 miles a day and its been a great truck
