few qucik question for cheap

ok heres what i am wanting to know.. i want to get the best times from pretyy much a stock 5.0 in an 89 gt.

1. what tire width tire can i fit on the stock 15 inch rims tire size please

2. spark plug gap i know what they should be but is there a smaller or larger gap that will help

3. tire preasure what will give the best traction

4. advancing the timing 10 degrees with 93 or higher octane any idea on a hp gain number 40k on motor

5 some good old basic headers should i expect 5-10 hp or less or more?


also anything you guys can suggest that would help times at the track please let me know

I use a 225 60R 15 and it's a decent footprint. Bump the timing to 14 degrees (stock is 10) and if it starts pinging back it off ever car is a little different. Stock motor keep the gap stock....don't see any benefit to changing the gap. Could index the plugs however. Headers are probably worth somewhere in the 5-10hp range that seems fairly reasonable.

If you're wanting to get a good tire, go with 235/60/15 BFG drag radials.
