Yes, do some searches for "blow-through carb" or as most people spell it "blow-thru carb" setup.

do a search in the 4 cyl forums. the early 79-8?? cobras were available with a blow through turbo 4 banger. lots of knowlegable guys there. especially Stinger, he is a 2.3t guru. with an upgraded turbo and a shot of nitrous he got a 4 banger coupe into the tens.

sorry to hijack

That is bad @ss man! Im waiting to refi my home to pay off alot of debt. Im also thinking Hellion kit. But you showed I could save a buck by diy. How does your cooling system work? Is it hot, or does the mods you did help out the heat? Also, on your kit how do you adjust boost? Thanx, very interested.

On the kit I can't adjust the boost yet, I was toying with the idea of attempting to burn a chip myself and then putting a boost controller on the wastegate. and the electric fan is on most of the time but keeps her pretty cool. I will upgrade to a bigger rad in the very near future too but the stock seems to be holding up quite well actually.

I wish there was a CARB legal turbo kit, I would lose the S/C.

Great state of California requires a Ca Air Resource Board Exemtion Order number on an item such as a turbo to be considered "legal" when used on a car with pollution control restictions, such as mine. Last kit I recall having such status was an Incon twin kit that I believe required notching of the chassis, that was quite a while ago.
