Hey folks, first of all thanks to everyone who gave advice along the way. Still have hanging idle/stalling issues but am thinking it may be due to an exhaust leak at my pass side flange I haven't had time to screw around with.

Remanufactured GT40p heads, tubular GT40 intake, MAC P specific shorties, smog system delete / short belt, stock cam and rockers, ARP bolts and felpro gaskets. The plan was a "showy" budget build to tie me over, once I finish university I'm looking at kenne bell (since I've got a GT40 lower now) or vortech and possibly a cam change (plus TB, MAF, injectors, etc), and want to learn how to tune using a Quarterhorse. Was also having oil burning problems at one cylinder and figured it was something top end related as the compression across all cylinders was perfect, so was hoping to gain a little power and stop the oil issue. Still burns unfortunately, must be a stuck oil ring See pics for the fouled cylinder compared to the good ones on the E7s.

GT40 Tubular intake is the best looking intake ever made. My next project will have one for sure.

I had an exhaust leak on one of my headers too. Blew out the header gasket. It didn't cause a hanging idle or stalling. You should look for a vacuum leak.

Thanks guys, I just masked off the accessories and gave them 3 coats of engine enamel from the hardware store, so far so good with just a little peeling on the EGR valve.

Also, the idle issues turned out to be from the exhaust leak, must've been misleading the oxygen sensors and causing oscillations in the idle... glad it's fixed!

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

Nice tis on painting the accessories Try a ceramic high temp paint on the EGR. I hear they can get really warm under operation.
