Flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers

I was wondering about the Flowmaster 1 chamber mufflers..are they illegal? I wanted something louder than my 40 series but I don't feel like getting a ticket every week. I was just wondering b/c my local muffler shop carries these and reccomends them to me because they are slightly louder and perfectly street legal, the catch is..according to Flowmaster, the only 1 chamber muffler they make is for race use only..any feedback is appreciated.

Most likely your 40 series violate the noise ordinance of where you live, so might as well get the 1 chambers . Tickets are handed out when you're being stupid. While in town, watch for cops, shift into 3rd or 4th when you see them, keep your revs below 2200. If none are to be seen and you see a ricer, floor it to your heart's desire. You'll be super loud when you want to be and nice and rumbly when you're cruising.

ive had them with the stock h and they were about 2x louder than the 2 chambers, not loud enough ti draw alot of attention, they have a really good sound with the stock h, i had them with a catted x and they were almost too loud,

You should do a search becuse somebody recently posted a video clip of there mustang with the one chambers on it.

yeah i'd like a set of these on my catted X as well, but dont know where to buy them

My car's about as loud as it can get and I've never had any issues with cops, even after being pulled over. Just don't act like a fool when they're around.
