fox shocks and struts

i just got a 99 GT and i have a set of kyb fox shocks and struts laying around. i'm also putting motorsport b springs on and my question is whether i can get away with them or if there is a valid reason there are 94-up specific ones(priced modularly higher).

post this on modulardepot.com , might get a better response i think some of the guys over there are running fox struts on lowered cars .
