I have a set of Bilsteins (shocks / struts) from a ’04 Cobra in my garage, any chance they will fit a FoxBody? If so are they a good match with FMS “C” springs?

Does Bassani make a cat back system that does NOT have that 3 inch transition at the end of the pipe. I just want it to appear stock, or at least have the entire cat back pipe have the same circumference. I like their product but would not rule out another vendor.

FWIW - this is going to be a daily driver!

thanks

If it is on your 85, with the stock spindles, then no, they will not work. The mounting point for the strut is narrower on the 87-04 cars than the 79-86 cars. The strut bolt tabs will not fit the 85 spindle. Now if you have 87-93 V8 or 94-04 spindles, they will fit, but again with lowering springs they would bottom out most likely. The 94-04 struts are longer than Fox ones and therefore will not really work with lowering springs.

i'm not sure if the shocks and struts will work seeing as the 04 is heavier and had irs. are you just saying yu don't like the bassani tailpipes? you don't have to use them, just run a set of stock style 2.5" or 3" tails with the bassani midpipe and whatever else exhaust components you want.

thanks much for the quick replys ..

I got the shocks/struts with an IRS, but not ready for the IRS at this time, thought I would see if I was lucky.

Regarding the question about Bassani, I do like what I have read about their product and the sound quality again from what I have read is very nice. That said the end goal here is to build a sleeper, 10 holes and all, and want to retain that 2.5 exhaust tip that exits the rear.
