More detailed progress now that I have time.
This morning's progress (or lack thereof):
I set my TPS. Come to find out the reason I never was able to get it set past .04 was because I wasn't turning it before setting the screws. Lesson learned, now it's set at .97 perfectly.
But the car still won't idle.
The fuel pump no longer turns on and primes when the key is in ON position. We used a test light and all my relays are getting power and are not busted. They are tested and functioning properly.
I looked at some wiring diagrams labeled for an 88-91. Although the wiring colors are different we've come to the conclusion that the EEC power relay is not doing its job, mainly shooting power to the EEC and back to the fuel pump relay, which is why the pump isn't kicking on.
And with that, it's not sending signals to the EEC and that explains my computer not being able to be read on the code-puller.
Does this sound like it makes sense to any of you? I had to go into work but my friend is going to stop by (might even be there by now) my garage and get back to work for me.
If I hear anything good from you guys I will call him up and let him know.
Thanks!
