It's absurdly fun in the corners. Last night there was no one around so I felt free to drive around the local roundabout about 10 times

The pull on the VR6 is great, too. It's quite torquey, but the top end is also satisfying.

She loves the car, and I've officially brought her over to the dark side (of car modification and hp hunger). She already wants forced induction!

Sorry to be a hater, but V-dubs dont do much for me... I like the newer ones, but the older ones remind me of the chick in high school that totally denied me... Hope you enjoy the car though!

Older watercooleds are the hardcore ones. A guy that works for us at our shop just got finished restoring his 77 rabbit, here's a pic of his and a pic of my silver GTI I just restored/built and sold, and the last pic Is of the motor (before all the carbon fiber I dressed it in) in my 91' Jetta I built, keep in mind it was the first of its kind in the US back in 98' or so (VR6/Full Head Work/Schrick Cams/Fully Balanced/Vortech SC)
