Well i got my 65 coupe back on the road yesterday.Went out to drive it last night and it was a quart and a half low on tranny fluid(ATF).theres no leaks anywhere on the outside of it so I guess its the tranny cooler.BUt not quite sure because soon as I put the fluid in it started smoking out the pipes like a freight train.Oh and the tmimng chain cover is leaking again.I just finished putting the new gaskets on it Friday.Does anyone have any idea why this stuff has happened. The only conclusion I can come up with is that the tranny fluid might be coming from the vacum tube from the tranny to the carb port.Why I have no clue.The fluid leak is a mystery also.Im gonna get a new radiator cap for it to make sure thats not the problem.Someone told me that the timing chaion cover leaks are very common on the stangs and there almost impossible to fix because something wrong with the cover.Its not running right at all.It doesnt sound like its missing at speed but at idle it mises on cyl 4&7.Its got a mallory ignition/dist on it.well thanks for any help.
