Im just going to start swapping Mopar crates into foxbodies so there can be something to rant about other than LS swaps. Not saying im for it or against it, just tired of it filling up the message boards.

God Bless America & our right to freedom of speech! I have to say that this is far more civil than I expected. This topic normally derails very quickly. You guys are pretty stand up to be able to express your opinions without resorting to caveman mentality.
For quite some time now, we've had no problem sticking motors where they don't belong. It started with Shannon's 84 GT350/03 Cobra motor swap. Then on to my 93 coupe & Scott's 90 coupe with 01 Cobra motors. Scotty got bored & decided to take a 4 eye that was bound for the crusher, save it, & shove an LS motor between the strut towers. Then Scott built the 3V Fairmont.
The one that gets the most attention is Scotty's 4 eye. Did he do the swap because no other Ford motor was good enough? Absolutely not. He currently also owns a pushrod 5.0 powered 93 coupe, a 95 Cobra sporting a 347. He wanted to do something that we hadn't done before, & gather info for our customers along the way. I think you'd be alarmed at the # of LS swap k-members & headers we sell, I know I am. While it isn't a large margin of our business, it is still business. Yes, we are a restoration parts company. We are also a performance parts company. We cater to a WIDE variety of automotive enthusiasts. We do what we want to do with our personal cars. Simple as that!
Really, it's kind of funny. Flattering almost. GM guys recognize that they don't have a car worth a crap to run their favorite powerplant in, so they go the the best platform out there, the Fox Mustang. Not to discount the large # of fast F-bodies out there, but the GM powered cars that are hauling are Ford made. Kind of the last laugh for Ford guys, because the motor is nothing without the car to move it!
What i think is funny is that if i showed up at any one of your houses, with that car, and didnt open the hood, said lets go for a ride, and beat the snots out of it, you would think the car hauls ass and is a bad ride, but then if i told you it had a LSx under the hood, you would hate the car? That kind of logic to me dosent make any sense

I was curious when you'd chime in!
So, be honest, how much resistance was this build subjected to within the group of employees at LRS? I'm sure there was a handful of people there with mixed feelings about it.
