I have a ? Got 03 cobra on 10 aniv rims .finnally the rear tires are gone .now I need to know how tall and wide I can go . thay are 17x 9 not lowered yet but when i do it will be only 1.5 in some say 275 , 305 and some even said315 I heard 305 will rubb alittle bit but so many people say different sives from tire dealers to performance shops to friends lookink for DR

You're asking a question which has many answers depending on different variables. Not all tires of the same advertised size are really the same size. For instance.... you can easily and safely fit a Nitto 315/35/17 on the stock 17X9 rim, yet the Goodyear 315/35/17 is too wide and will rub. Strange huh? If you do an advanced search within the SVT Tech forum you will find this subject of what fits what and what requires some minor modifications if you do a quick search. You can increase the clearence for wide tires by adding a set of rounded IRS sub-frame bolts or by adding a 3/8-inch spacer.
