rynb15:nice new wheels btw... Yeah...I'm fond of my LX and weight diff. Was feeling a need for a change though. Since I couldn't find a Saleen kit within my budget, opted for a complete gt kit I won on ebay locally for $35. Not a bad price I think. Besides the local sheriff and staters know my LX all to well. :nonono:

exactly.. thats why i did it as well.. 240 bucks and a roll of sandpaper later.. its a GT.. saleen was just to much money for a young kid like myself to afford lol

so, I upped the ante by sanding that all off and then rolling on (yes, ROLLED) two coats of oil-based Commercial Grade Rustoleum Gloss Black and re-spraying the trim to a proper Duplicolor matte black, all of which came out surprisingly well ... umm, for $50 total and two days' work, at least... :D

Too bad that you'll never be able to paint over it with anything but rustoleum (fish oil is used in the paint).

My 87 was originally black, was repaired and half was repainted, stripped and re-painted black, and the scuffed well and painted sonic blue.

repainted once two years before i bought it, one of the old headlights must have been from another car, cuz there was blue overspray on it... . got enw ones now, just need the after shots... 6 year old paint here
