there is a way to wire the fan so that it is on high with the flip of a swich. don'y know how it is done. wires and a switch pretty cheap. just a thought.

Burp the system to be sure there no air in it. Also, wire up a switch to have full control of the fan to turn it on sooner.

The #17 wire in the ccrm is where you hook up a toggle switch to. That's the high side fan. The #17 is your power and all that is needed is a ground at the toggle. The EEC turns the fan on high at 210-225 degrees (can't remember the exact number).

I don't know where you can get a fan switch kit, but you can get everything you need at RadioShack.

I have one of those radiator caps with the red lever, so what I do to burp the system is run it (cold) without the radiador cap untill the coolant comes close to overflowing. Then I drive it around for about 20 minutes to get it as hot as possible and get the t-stat open. Then I come back and park it on that same incline with it idling (I let it idle for a minute or so and rev it a couple times) and lift the red lever which will killl the system pressure, but will purge all the air through the overflow bottle, you'll see the air going through to the bottom of the bottle and bubbling out. It seems to work fine for me.

I don't know the standard way of doing, it but that's just my way.

do you guys think that there is anything wrong with running the fan at all times? As in, your key hits "acc" and the fan kick in ..???
