I have started my restoration

Hey - I understand what you are saying - but if he were to do it - just because he thinks 87-93 front ends look good now, he may regret it later on when he realizes how few 4 eyes remain. Changing the exterior of your car usually means you don't like what you have, and that's sad when it has to do with a Stang of any year (with the exception of 74-78's of course)...

ok well i went out and polished the wheels up and stuff and here are the picture's there alot more shiny now lol.

now i have a question for you guys.

under my top button to put the top up and down there is a lever that says "AMP PULL" do any of you guys have this?

oh yeah and i keep blowing fuses for my blower for the a/c?

any ideas what is up.

oh yeah and the wipers only work if you pull the fuse out and when you want them on you plug it in the horn don't blow but it does if you hook it straight to the battery? same with wipers pull the fuse and it works but the switch to turn it on and off wont work?

i got some pictures

how many of you out there have put a new vert top on your car? we have two mustangs that need new tops.

we were thinking of doing them our selves but we were wondering how much of a pain in the ass they are?

Only one I can help you with right now is the AMP PULL...that's for the factory stero amplifier..When you wanted more sound...pull the knob, light comes on..It was called "Premium Sound" at the time.

For the blowing fuse problem, you may have a short in the system somewhere...unfortunately, those are going to take some time with a volt-meter to sort out....Maybe tmoss or jricker will jump in and give you some pointers on where to start...

As for the rear glass....I'm going plastic. at 1/2 the cost of the glass one, you unzip before dropping the top. At that price I can afford replacing it in a few years after it turns yellow and cloudy.

The back glass cutain is a seperate piece and easy to install. It zips on top and staples at the bottom. The Top is a different story. Two words...Upholstery shop. The top is a PITA. The labor to install will cost more than the top itself, but worth the time and aggravation it'd cause doing it yourself.

PS I prefer the 85 and 86 Nose over the other fox noses. The euro look was used on Tempo's, Escorts, Taurus, Crown Vics, T-Birds and pretty much every car in Fords lineup in the late 80's and nineties. The 87-93's had very few external differences, sans wheels and making the body moldings body colored. With the 4 eyed cars, 82, 84, 85 all had different noses, moldings, wheels.

More variety with the older cars.
