Also sorry the emoticon on the last post, I was on my phone. So any who, back on track, I am looking at the master cylinder and it looks pretty shot. I might as well replace the brake booster, even if its not bad, its 25 years old. I don't have a stock master cylinder, how do I know which one to get? What about the brake booster?

The only thing I know is that the last guy who owned it put disc brakes on the rear. So I have disc brakes on all sides of the car.

Well that changes things now.

It's possible you have a leak at one of his connections. Might want to check that out as well.

4-lug or 5-lug?

It's probably thunderbird turbo coupe rear disks, which means it should be using a 1993 Cobra master and booster. Whether or not the original owner did that...well.

Does the MC have 2 lines, or 3 lines coming out of it?

Can oyu privide pics of the MC, brakes, etc for identification?

I have 5 lug wheels. The MC has two lines coming out of it. Yes let me go out there and snap a couple real quick.

I won't be able to snap a picture of the calipers until Saturday. I have to leave for work, then I finals all the rest of the week. When Saturday rolls around I will try to get a couple more pictures.

Wow, you are going to want to address that. You are def losing fluid. The fluid all over the booster suggests that is probably bad as wel due to the fluid eating the internal rubber seals.

I'm going to guess that that is a 1985 Lincoln Town car MC judging by the fact that it is cast iron and rusted to hell. 84-86 Mustang SVO master's are aluminum. However, some parts stores do sell cast versions.

Really need to see the brakes on the car to tell you what MC should be there. Who knows what fittings the owner used to adapt the MC to the car. Judging from the pics...there are plenty of leaks.

Try and clean up some of that fluid in the meantime with degreaser and then carb cleaner. BRake fluid is corrorisive and if you aren't careful, it will begin to turn the metal on that inner fender to rust and it will need to be repaired by a body shop.

Def a repair you want to get on ASAP

Disregard my post about cleaning up the MC, you definitely want to replace it. You have a brake problem much worse than mine was. You may want to put the fox on stands and take the wheels off and get a really good look at all the lines. From your other thread I wouldn't have bought a fuel pump or shocks until the brake problem is fixed. I would rather be able to stop than to get traction or more reliable fuel. Look at your rotors to see if they are cracked or thin. My old ones were cracked AND thin, my new rotors from AutoZone were twice the size lol.

I had these parts long before the brakes starting acting up. Also, I am a single guy living at home with a decent paying job. I am not rich, I just don't have a lot things to spend my money on.

I can drive with engine oil leak, but not transmission or rear end,leak those do not have much fluid and it run dry pretty quick, get that taken care asap.
