i didnt visit the 94-95 forums for a while, i come back and i read nothing but nonsense from various members...

come on now... SVT is AFFILIATED with COBRA's, ALL YEARS.

Get real dude.
...

anyway to the original poster.

goodluck on the car! and congrats!

stock the cobra runs low 14's all day...

i would seriously recommend headers -> tailpipes exhaust

3:73 will wake you up in the SOTP department but wont ADD horsepower, just manipulate the gear ratios. skip a cold air intake, they are garbage, make a homemade PVC unit or just drop in a KN, the paper element filter is a restrictor. oh yea for comfort and for banging the gears in properly at the track, i recommend a Tri-Ax or pro-5.0 shifter. you will definantly feel the difference, and its big insurance for your transmission(no bend forks..etc).

Dude, get a aftermarket mass air meter!!!!! I picked up 2-3 tenths and 3 mph in the quarter mile with the Pro-m 75mm bullet. Plus the off-road H and cat-back got me about 15-20. That and gears are you best way to go fast and sound good for cheap.

well i heard the Pro-M 's are no good , my friend says people always have problems with those which he belives is related to the GT i test drove to be pinging....or the misfiring at idle. 4got which he said.

heh and once u get a MAF Needs to be calibrated to the stock injectors right? i dont know if i belive it got u 2-3 tenths in the 1/4 and 3mph, id like to hear what other people think on that.

Pro-m Is the "Name" in MAF's. Get an 80mm and you'll be set. Its the same as the 77mm but made in plastic. I gess you could get a C&l but i like Pro-m. I have had nothing but good luck with my 75mm bullet. I dunno where your friend got his info

a pro-m meter and a cone kn filter stuck at the end will be great, as well as gears to WAKE HER UP(no increase in track E/T unless you got a turbo or supercharger and use it with your combo properly)

for your very first mod, a pro-m will be nice, then i would highly suggest a complete exhaust.

such as headers, offroad h pipe(you can swap this on and off before inspection day) or you can spend the extra $150 or so and get the catted one.. then choose your muffler of preference and have fun.

but a seriously nice mod to start with is suspension after you get the exhaust and pro-m settled in.

do UPPERS/LOWERS(control arms), and some springs to your preference(drag racing, corner carving, or street/strip), get a panhard bar while your at it and some slick tires.

those suspension mods will GREATLY reduce your ET believe it or not. Weight transfer is the best way to make the power to the ground.

but figure what you want to do with the car first... a corner hugging car will not be good on the drag strip and a drag car wont be good hugging turns.
