I need reviews (sold the Mach 1)

I am, like I have mentioned, Im selling stuff on ebay. Im making income again. enough to pay my things.

Im not 16, im 17 :D lol

and last, I want a 5.0 again. I am prioritizing. and Im not the researcher that takes years. i saturate myself in info, which is why im always with some crazy idea. But I tend to find something better in my price range. I am doing my schoolwork, and I have prepaid college. :P

so yeah, lets re-rail this thread :nice: anymore suggestions on combos...not how to spend my money :P

number one. you sold you car to your bro and you dont even have 100 bucks of the 4,000 to buy crap. get off the computer and go get a job( or go to work if yo have one) when your brother FINALLY pays you hte 4,000 then get back on here and ask what you should do. and turboing your car. yeah thats smart on less then 4k budget....NOT your forgetting tunning and all the supporting mods you will need. tunning is not cheap. plkus your wanting to do heads and everything else at the same time. get your priorties stright kid. :p

dont sell it to your bro number one. here is what will happen you will get the money from him every month. and blow it on something else. im the same age and i know how that goes.

well, so far my job IS in front of a computer. Like I said....EBAY! Im not gonna get the $75 a month, its going to his savings account and when he has all $4k, he'll give it to me at once. Read ryan, read. And why not sell it to him? I trust him more than anyone out there, besides, ill be able to work on it along side him. Oh and why would you be calling me kid? You're just as much as a kid as I am. Like I said, Please stop the rants, and the "advice" giving. Its my money, I do what I wish. If I want to blow it on any little thing, its my problem. Im asking for a simple opinion. Thank you for those who did. Since the majority do not want to help, then Im out of the thread. Take over or close it. idc. But every thread I post it seems to get derailed because Im young and should save money.

I am surprised at all the people ragging on you. I dont know you or your history on this site, but I know that in my youth I enjoyed cars. They WERE and ARE what I enjoyed/enjoy! If you get a budget kit like the on3performance it is well within your means and would probably suit your needs. It looks as though you will need supporting fuel mods and tuning which will run you at least 1k if done right.

I would suggest going with what stykthyn said and do a JY turbo. i think that would be fun and give you something to do!

Either way keep us posted and have fun!

ok mr know it all. i am your age and i did read. guess what. you go and make the mistake. you go and try and put together a turbo kit for that much and have the car RUN right. id bet the title to my stang that you will have at minimum 800 in tunning and the chip and dyno time alone to have the car run 100% right and be daily driver streatable. not to mention supporting mods, ie ignition, fuel. either way. a turbo stang is not going to make a good DD. we tell you this becasue were watching out for you. damn bro. dont take the advise and do what you want then and dont ask for our opinions then.

the stock t-5 will not handle that type of power, the stock cluth? nope thats gonna need up graded. rear end. well theres a problem too.

i also seem to remember all off us saying buying the mach wasent the best of idea's becasue of the amount of work needed and all, told you that you would miss the 5.0 and want one again didnt we?

we were rightttttttttttt! :D

anyway. good luck. if i were you. find a car thats in good shape and throw a mild H/C/I on it and have fun for a while. remember also. fox bodys are getting hard to come by in good shape. so at least 3k of that budget will be going towards just the car. even with selling the 4cyl coupe. so you have 2,500 for parts. not enough to do a well planned and build turbo setup.

and ryan, i know, i didnt expect to lose my job tho. that trashed my project. i know ill need upgrades. thats why im trying to get everything planned out. I know i would miss a 5.0. lol i even said ill own one again someday.

same here :D I got my GT then signed up. But I had a convertible 4 cyl before and now I have a 4 cyl coupe. :p

and Im making plans. Im getting the $4k either way. just because I dont have it now on the spot doesnt mean I wont have it.

damn bro everytime i read one of your threads youmake yourself sound like a fool...not trying to be a jerk but seriously...4 grand for a turbo stang....HAHAHAHA......think before you come in here and make a thread asking questions when you know your going to get bashed on

DIY junkyard turbo <1k. A fox for about 2500 is not a show worthy fox, but they are out there. If you find useful info instead of insulting opinions it can be done. Show your maturity and prove the naysayers wrong, or give up and prove them right. This world isnt made a better place by everyone walking the same line. i had my first GT when I was 15 and had the chief of Police harass my dad weekly. Now that I am almost 30 I get no grief. Same guy, same decisions. Was I younger and had less experiences? Yes, but how do you learn without the experiences?

Seems to me the older "more wise" of this forum are sharing opinions when the OP specifically asked you not to. Your wisdom has left you wanting for more ability to follow directions. If you want to play father, PM. Otherwise, let the OP learn his lesson or teach you one publicly in the method that will be conducive to help others when they find this thread in the future.

4k turbo stang is so possible. if you are talking purley get r done......
mike, good luck man, one thing i will say is you might change your mind but only for the present. you have some time in the future for a turbo fox. thats my goal one day. but one day at a time. practicality over dreams and wants always.
with that said the most logical approach is a jy or pieced kit. and a decent fox to start with.
and your age aint setting you back you are just more gun hoe and head in the clouds wanting a nice fox(something people forgot how fun that truly is). i got respect since you are 17 and at least attempting to earn and work for what you want. good luck man. and thanks for not being a spoiled 17 year with a 350z and super spiked hair...

I've given both my opinion on a turbo setup as well as my two cents as to how I feel about how random and fickle this kid's decisions are. What we're all witness to are the wet dreams of a 17 year old kid who has nothing but a head full of ideas right now and no idea what kind of financial commitment he's undertaking in creating a car with the power level he wants. I have nothing against DIY JY turbo setups. Can he weld and fabricate? I don't know. What I do know from experience is that you have to pay to play. Or, at least, to play for very long, anyway. You also have to start with a good foundation, that means chassis stiffening and suspension (traction, handling) as well as safety (cage). He just said that his "job" is selling stuff on ebay. The proof is in the pudding here guys.

lol thanks for the encouragement. That pushes me harder to do it. I dont want a top dog racer. I want a turbo fox that will get the job done. A fun car to drive. I know itll be a PITA to install and ill have headaches about it, and criticism everywhere, and how i shouldnt by junkyard parts etc. but i personally believe thats all part of the fun. Yeah, I know ill need a tune and all that. The transmission, when it blows up, thenn ill try to get another one at the junkyard, and a clutch also. But oh well. And yeah, Ive had alot of plans, but things didnt end up going how it was planned so i had to change my mind. The SVO idea, down the drain. Why? the SVO I wanted has a cracked head. the other ones are too far. My 4 cyl was gonna go turbo, but instead, Im selling it and its cheaper to turbo a 5.0 and all the parts in general are way cheaper than for the 2.3 and are easier to find. Now Im trying to decide how i can turbo a fox with the money Ill have. Its a challenge and many people say impossoble, but I say its very possible.

possible. of course.
practical. NO.
have fun. i agree with you on the 2.3 vs 5.0 thing. but if you want speed you got the foundation you could turbo the lil 2.3(after som engine work) and have a very fast car....
and you did not finish your mach plans either that why you are getting dawg'd

Here is some advice & take it for what it's worth. Research your project first, go on a induction forums, search here and other sites and learn what is out there, the good and bad of it and what is needed to build a decent street set-up. Then start saving money and when you get close to pulling the trigger start posting for advise, you will gain respect much quicker and not look like a day dreamer that may or may not get the advice one wants. I have wasted more time typing responces to your build threads, and your brother wants to buy you parts or is giving you money, you have a $1,500 budget spend my money threads. I'm not trying to rag on you but there really isn't any other way to put it.

I say do a junkyard set up... But who knows, by the time you get the $4000, none of these turbo places will still be in business.

I won't even say what I think about you spending vs saving, and I wont say what I think about your brother buying your car and paying it off (assuming he too doesn't lose his job).

Your best bet is to find the right car for a few grand, do the obviouse gears, exhaust and maintenance and then try and find the JY parts for a turbo.
