I'm in a sharing kinda mood > so here you go

Mine has held up well considering it has 140k on it.

After the time before last at the track, I did some damage to it. I kept missing 3rd and subsequently grinding the gears.

I have my shift stops set perfectly (MGW), so I'm not really worried about bending a fork, but I can feel the trans starting to "loosen up". It has some slack in it that has accumulated over the miles, but it still shifts great... even when really banging the gears, save for the slop.

Thanks for sharing those pics. Fortunately, I haven't had to see the inside of a T-45 yet, although I'm sure it will happen sometime... haha.

Mine doesn't feel loose, but it really doesn't like high rpm shifts. It is imposible to powershift the 1-2 above 5400 and the 2-3 is always a bit tricky. It never really mattered before, since the ideal shifts were 5000 and under, but that's starting to change.

i think im going to be looking at that same thing pretty soon, i think i have a bad input shaft bearing, i can hear it in the bell housing, and thought my shifter when idleing, and i know its not the motor/TOB, because i built a new motor, and changed the TOB twice and i dont know how many more dead hooks it can take on the slicks....

i know i gave my t45 hell then one day when i was 4 hours from home my input shaft bearing exploded on the interstate. it tore the whole front of my case out. :notnice:

i swapped in a 2000 t45 tremec built tranny, for my t45 borgwarner built tranny. the bw had well over 145000 miles, and 5th started sounding like a space ship taking off, the tremec with only 23000 miles was much nicer. i couldnt complain but i only paid a 100 bucks for it

^ GOOD SCORE :hail2: the cheapest Used one i found was $200 and the milage was unknow> I just pulled mine apart for the H3ll of it and found my problem > I had to tear the whole thing down to the emty case to fix but it was a cheap fix > :)
