Ok, I got an injector ques. I have a 310 cu in engine with a trickflow top end kit, 24 lb injectors, 255 lph pump, 80 pro-m meter with pro-m intake tube, stick car all the supporting bolt ons. My friend who I work with (ford techs) suggests that I might not have enough injector for my somewhat highly modified engine. He suggests 30 lb injectors are probably a better match for me. I tend to notice a lot of the build ups in magazines where they are either doing a trickflow kit or a set up very similar to my own ie h/c/i they are using the 30s? Im starting to think I need them because my car which otherwise runs great, does not scream to 6k like i think it should. by like 3500-4k it feels like the power is done and its time to shift. Anyone have any suggestions and advice? preferably based on experiences? I really appreciate this as Im gettin sick of buying things to help rectify this problem. Sorry for the long post. thanks guys

ps. I have what feels like it might be a stock replacement clutch in the car ( Installed by prior owner) and although it doesnt seem to really slip by letting the rpms skyrocket im thinking that the pressure plate jus really doesnt wanna hold the motor. Can a weak clutch make your car feel like its low on power?

30# injectors wouldnt hurt anything but they probably wont help either. 24's can take you a long way before they become the bottle neck. We maxed out the duty cycle of the 24# injectors at 370 RWHP on a mild 393 stroker.

Yes a slipping clutch can hurt top end performance. You would probably have a burning clutch smell in the car though if thats the problem.

You have enough injector to near 400HP (flywheel) change is not needed. Your power figures if the car is in a generally decent state of tune should be in the 280-300 rwhp range which is ideal for the 24's. I would recomend you pull the codes to see if the car is trying to tell you anything then maybe some dyno time to see how your A/F is. As for now...like said pull the codes, get your fuel pressure to 39-40psi and timing to 14 degrees and play a little self tuner with your SOTP meter (seat of the pants meter )

Thanks for the response man. Im at a loss as to why my car is such a slug lately. Maybe I need to pony up and get the dyno tune already.
