Hey guys...

I haven't been in to many verts, can you guys tell me if its normal to see the top frame of the covertible from inside the car? The 2-3 that I've been in I see all the metal and joints of the top. Is there any headliner or something to cover this? If so is it pricey?

Thanks!! :nice:

Joe

I beleive some 93's came with a headlinder for an option. As a whole, verts did not and to see the frame work is normal. I bought a headliner kit from 50resto that I am having installed with the new top to cover the frame work up.

There may be a couple of Ford verts that came with a cover for the inside, but I've never seen them. Unless you have a car with an optional cover, or have a high end car, you are going to see the linkage.

I had wondered if it might have also been omitted because it would add to the stack height when the top is down. Mine (early fox with the higher stacked height) sticks up high enough.

 my '94 vert has a headliner and it came stock, my buddy's '90 LX vert has one as well, but when he bought the car, it had a newly replaced top, so maybe the previous owner chose to install the headliner when re-doing the top:shrug: i would def. have one installed if my car didn't currently have one

I remember renting a LX vert(non-V8) after I had ordered my car, but before taking delivery, it had non-bucket seats & it had a headliner. I sat in it & thought to myself, "Crap, what have I done?!!?! I'm going to be driving a car I don't fit in for the next XX years????!?!!" I felt sick until I took delivery & realized that I did fit in it; whew!

I have a liner in my vert (87). It was easy to put in and didnt kill any head room (on my install at least). It also quiets the ride and kees your music inside. I love it. I plan to get one for my 92 vert. looks alot better too, thatn seeing the frame. Oh and it is a easy install.
