installing tranny oil cooler

Hey Guys,

Im installing a B&M tranny cooler right now. I read their instructions but i think i should do something else. The tubing from the tranny on mustang are metal tube. Instead of disconnecting the tube at the EOM radiator, i think it would be best if i cut the return metal tube and insert the B&M radiator tubing in the circuit at this point.

I think theirs instructions were made for flexible tubing.

My point is i leave the connection at the radiator alone and work directly on the metal tube near the crank pulley.

What do you think ????

Thx for the input guys

You can cut the factory metal tubing if you want, but you better flare both the ends or you'll be sorry ... there's a lot of pressure in those lines. I had a good installation write up for what you're doing, but I didn't cut my factory tubing. I did mine roughly a year ago so you'd have to dig for the write-up if you're interested.
