I have an E-cam awaiting install for my 94 Cobra and some people have said its not much bigger than the stock cobra cam and I should upgrade to the F or B cam.

I dont race at the track and I dont normally bring the car up past 4000rpms more than a few times a day so I want a cam that will give me big gains in the lower RPMs.

Should I stick with E, or upgrade to B or F? and WHY

Hope your 'puter likes it. The 110 lobe sep and the newer computers don't play well with each other.

The stock Cobra cam was only .485 lift, had less than 270 duration, and was like a 118 lobe seb.

You really want to stick with a "blower cam" lobe sep with these cars, 112 or 114.

A lot of guys get along well with 2031 cams and steeda #19 cams. the 2040, E cam, and TFS 1 cam are hit or miss on what surging and idling problems you may have.

i agree to an extent. it seems that the cobra guys have a bit less difficulty in surging and idling problems. i run a tfs1 with stock ecm and have no idle issues at all--95 cobra.

as for cam selection i have this to say:

there is no such thing as a cam too big---just not enough motor.

Don't forget that the FRPP cams valve lift values are for a 1.6:1 ratio rocker. Your Cobra should have 1.7:1 ratio rockers stock. So, the valve lift is actually higher.

BIG cams have intake exhaust overlap . Not good for blower setups
