Good luck; like I said earlier, I'd really try not to drive the car much until you get your fuel upgrade, and get the tune sorted out. If you really want that thing to work in a well sorted fashion, you need to lose the fmu, get your bigger injectors/maf in there, and get busy with a twEECer.

i hear ya... i am debating 38 or 42 poundinjectors... My goals will be mid to high 400 hp to the wheels.. Anyways i will be going to mass air for xmas, and im deffinately gonna get a wideband o2 reader and gauge in my car.. guess that coudlnt hurt right?

Yeah, an FMU and boost retard are really hack bandaids. It's all to you on what you want to do. You can do it the right way, and you can do it the wrong way. Having a power adder is not cheap as you might have found out by now.

Michael, forget it. I already tried explaining to him the importance of adressing the fuel issues. He replied that he would continue to run the car with a speed density setup because it was cool. I also explained that at around 5-6 psi your fuel pressure should be at about 80 psi. I wonder if that rings a bell (judging by the response above, I think not). Anyhow, I continued to state that the fuel pump would not support the necessary pressures to flow the amount of fuel needed to run 24lb injectors much past 5-6 psi blower pressure. And I wonder if that rings a bell also. I wonder if it also rang a bell that I said I was surprised that the motor is still running. At this point we should start placing our bets...

Ive got 30$ paypal that within 3 weeks joe had a boost related engine issue...lean, detonation, boom. Something along those lines....OR, a drivetrian failure due to the upgraded POWA....Or wrapped around a tree. :(

Yep your absolutely right... my 255 intank pump AND trex external pump are not enough!! wow i shoulda known that! i wonder why they make that trex pump then? for 200 horsepower applications??? soo what would i need , 2 or 3 t rex pumps to flow enough?????

also i am converting to mass air soo what are you talking aboutt that i didnt listen??

Abount 80 psi at 5pounds of boost.. if thats normal, why am i running super rich in boost??? rich to the point where it burns my nose and eyes?

Well then it just gives me a new excuse to go right to DSS and order a super pro bullet doesnt it??

30 dollars doeant count on the drivetrain since its weak as it is.... that 30 dollars is towards my motor blowing up!

When you dip into the 10-12:1 AFR it can really start to smell. I wouldn't doubt that your stupid FMU is the cause of this. It's probably putting you below 10:1

Also having no catalytic converters will just make this 10x worse. It's to be expected, just think about it......I don't think your at all ready for this much boost, even with your plans.

sure.. what hes "thinking"... but is he ever "right?", no offense haha.... Im making 11 lbs right now and i just put the timing retard in.. its awesome... no pings or anything! pulls very hard and its a fun car to drive now.... think what you want.. my motor is in one piece and is fine... when and IF it does blow, then yous have all your laughing and "i told you so's" that you want

Update on the situation:

My friend hooked his wideband air fuel meter on my car and we did a few checks before.... on an abandoned road, we did a few 4th gear pulls... the first run went as low as 10.5:1 which i guess is my rich problem eh???

I then realized i had a 10:1 fmu calibration, sooo i ditched that and put a 6:1 in... The a/f was a bit leaner but seemed great.. 12.2:1.. These runs were done under 11 pounds of boost and was taken up to 6K rpm.. For christmas however, i am gonna ditch this POS FMU and just use 36 lb injectors, then take it for a run again to see the air fuel.. The only reason i did it that way was ebcause the dyno i went for the past few times closed down and thats basically what they do, only i dont know how much horse im putting out

Is it safe to say i can have fun with it now??? the only concern now i think would be my block and stock internals, but the fuel came out allright..

Also, the blower is VERY quiet.. why is that??? Its practically sleeper.. the only thingt hat got louder was my exhuast and that got VERYYYYY extremely loud in boost

You take their insight and knowledge and throw it in the trash only to dig hte trash up and say wow look what I did. You have been told that the 24lb injectors are not sufficient then you said you would lay off boost until you get your MAF set up, then a few posts later its like "OMFG LIKE I SO TOOK ME ENGINE UP TO 7K AND SAW ELEVENTY BILLION LBS OF BOOST AND IT PULLED SO HARD! NOTHNG HAPPENED TO IT SO ITS SAFE RIGHT?"

Joe, Do what you feel is going to work. If it dosent, work you will get it fixed and you will continue to learn. Why do you come back here to continually get badgered? As soon as anyone sees you post its free post time for everyone. It is true that you dont always listen to the advice given to you. But you always seem to find a way to get through it. You know you need bigger injectors and you know you will need a mass air conversion. Yes what your doing now is "working" but its not a safe tune and eventually something will give out and your going to be slammed with a bunch of "I TOLD YOU SO's" As much money as you have spent to make the car what it is now. Spend a few hundred more and do it right this time. Get the injectors get a maf conversion, get it tuned professionally, and enjoy it for a long time. You playing with fire right now and your gonna get burned again. Next time it wil cost you alot more money. Rebuilding / buying motors arnt cheap. I just spent 4-5k on my new combo and i wouldnt just slap a blower on and assume its going to be ok. This is my opinion and my advice to you. take it for what its worth.

yepp shawn i hear what your saying.... Honestly i dont care what negative stuff people have to say about me. F them! So my motor blows up, live and elarn.. Ill go buy a brand new DSS pro bullet that is lined up for me as soon as this blows.. Then ill do everything "right" ... do i think its gonna blow?? Not at all.. it doesnt ping or anything of that. Its taking damn near 14 pounds of boost like a champ!!..Call me ignorant call me what you want?? what do you people give a flying F what i do with my car?? its MINE sooo whats the big deal.. say what you want.. my motor is perfectly fine right now and thats all that matters.. I honestly dont know why I come back here.. I post a pic of my headlights and i get flamed for it.. then a week later, someone else posts the samn damn thing and they get the "ohh ahhhhhh it looks soo nice" bullshyt if youd as me. You people would bash on me for something i add to my car, then the enxt person that does it, its a totally different story... whatever im out... let this thread be done.. the motor is fine for now. All i said was that i got the blower back and i get flames left and right.. whatever
