I've been entertaining the thought of a different hood for a while and finally pulled the trigger. I love the look of the cowl and couldn't find another hood that I just fell in love with.

I'm still debating on whether or not to get hood pins. I know it's recommended, but I'm a little worried it'll break up the smoothness of the hood to much, if that makes sense. If anyone has some pics of their hood (cowl or not) with pins, posted em up, I'd love to see them.

I posted some of these in another thread, but thought I would create my own, and sorry for the crappy lighting, I just polished and waxed it so I wanted to get it before it had a layer of dust on it!

I have the same car with same rims (no cowl hood) and I'm debating the pins, I'm not too sure if they look good on a car without stripes. I've never seen a car without stripes that looked good with pins.

Nice choice of a hood, as for the pins go for the CDC which stick on, no holes and then if you change your mind they peel right off.

You know, that's a pretty good idea. I don't think I want the one's that have the wire that loops over the front though, but it will give me a pretty good idea of what they will look like.

Thanks!

you stole the front end of my car!! lol i never saw anyone with the cdc chin and steeda hood, those are my plans and you just put me over teh edge to go through with it! beautiful!

Haha! Thanks man! I love the look and couldn't be happier!

Just a tip, when it comes time to ship the hood (if you order online), have them send it to the body shop. It's about 75 dollars more to have it shipped to your house since it ships freight.

yea shipping residential gets expensive. i work with a body shop pretty closely so they are gonna take care of the work pretty cheap too! price wise anyway not quality wise. the only thing i think i may do differently then you did is to leave the center section of the chin spoiler flat back textured. i do alot of highway driving and i have heard this gets pretty banged up from stones and debris. i think it will look good and match the lower grill to kind of blend it in a bit/. and i will paint the outer sections to match the car(black). o and i say get teh hood pins, they look badass!

I am with you on the pins! I love the look of mine without them, but the movement in the hood at high speeds has me worried. I did give mine the 100+mph test the other day (closed course....) and it was ok.

Hey man, I saw the post you made with your hood and it got me so excited! My hood was on it's way to the shop to get painted and it couldn't get there quick enough!

I've gotten up to about 85 so far and it looks like it's going to be fine. I really don't do any high speed driving besides the few trips to the track I take a year, so I think I might hold off on the pins for now.
