ok, i just want to clarify something for everyone reading this thread.
none of the tuner companies (SCT, Diablo, Sniper) can make more power or make the car run better than the others. it's all about the person who is doing the tuning. all tuners tune the same parameters regardless of the software. someone familiar with all the tuning packages is going to be able to get the exact same power no matter who's software they use.

the basic components of making hp are fuel and timing (in non-vct cars). if any software doesn't allow you, for any reason, to alter the a/f ratio or timing to your exact specs, it's not a true tuning package. i was one of the first people to use the EFI Solutions software when it came out. (from what i've heard, Sniper is what was left of EFI Solutions) it allowed full control over a/f ratio and timing. down to fuel injector slopes and maf transfer functions. all the timing tables were there. mbt, act, ect, borderline knock, etc. and this was 4 years ago. now the scalars could potentially effect drivability, but not power. i now have had the SCT PRP for about 3 years now. The main force behind SCT was a retired Ford engineer. i can't imagine him settling on a "handicapped" program, especially with all his inside information. as for Sniper, i have not used it yet, but i highly doubt any future competitors to SCT would release a software package that does not contain all the functions of the current packages available. IF any of the tuning packages could make more power than the others, why aren't they advertising it? that would be one hell of a selling point.
