I knew the guy you bought it from and the guy he bought it from. I could tell you quite a bit about that car's history. But hey, enjoy the car, I'm glad it went to a fellow Mustang enthusiast!

So far this is my list for the weekend:
1. Power Door Locks do not work(?) and Passenger door does not lock at all(Any ideas?)
2. Basic Tune Up- Starts after a few turns with the starter. No Problems yet but need to check SPs, and other basic stuff.
3. Restore headlights- I talked to a guy at a local body shop and he said the best way to do it is to take a very fine grit sand paper and sand off a minuscule layer then spray a few layers of clear coat to make them shine.

When the solinoids go bad they seize and then you cant move the loch mech. around.
Every Fox I have had with bad locks (all of them
) I have just replaced the solinoids with DEI versions for $15 each. You have to form the bracket they come with to the right shape but they go in easily. Bonus is they are very quiet, low poer draw and the locks are very easy to opperate manually
also my drivers door lock won't push down but my passengers will but the power doesnt work on either on. does this mean i need to get both or if i get the drivers side one will the passengers start working

My bad, actuator is the more appropriate term. The one you have in your link there is the stock one. If you go to any car stereo shop that sells and installs alarms you can get the DEI actuators there. I believe I paid $15 each when I got them. They come with thoes old school stereo straps (thin stip of metal with holes in it) and you just make it into a U shape and put a screw retaining clip on the strap where the rivit normally is on the stock actuator. Then srec the actuator to the strap and trim off the excess stip. Then the metal rod it comes with you just need to bend to the stock rods shape and cut off the excess. Then put spade terminals on it and it can be pluged into the stock wire harness

i cleaned/conditioned the leather with some professional furniture leather products that i had lying around the house and the results are amazing. ill post more pictures tomorrow. also i'm going to pressure wash the engine bay

blue on a red car? not really i'm about to re paint the ford emblems black. i found a forum about ford trucks with all the info how to.
it was raining all day on and off so i didnt get to do much on the car but clean the engine bay a little bit. there was alot of oxidation on all the aluminum parts in the engine bay. so i took a lot scotchbright pads and cleaned up alot. i wish i took before pictures though. i'm going now to restore the headlights so until i get new ones i can actually see at night

so i figured out why the headlights are in such bad condition.... somebody drilled 6 holes in the bottom of the headlight to drain water from it(i guess) and so i guess i'm going to need new headlights.
