Hey guy's just bought a SALEEN hood & got damage during shipping :(

the seller didn't pack it right ! :fuss:

it's made of fiber glass any good local paint shop in portland who can work with this hood ?

i'm guessing it could be fix , what you guy's think ?

should i ask the guy to chip in on repairs?

2 of 4 corner's have crack's 94-98 hood

if it is the fault of the seller for not packaging properly he is responsible...make him pay although if he refuses it probably isnt worth your time in court...but I am sure that it could be repaired unless the damage is real bad??

Fiberglass is very easy to work with. You just need to make sure that you cut out the crack and fill it in with resin and fiberglass mat. If you don't grind out the crack, it will keep cracking (sort of like the crack in a windshield will continue to grow) and will show up if you try to just paint over it. Grind it out, fill with resin and glass mat, fill with body putty, block sand it out, and you'll never know.
Maybe try to get some kind of credit from the shipper (good luck)?
