Hey all. My friend has a '65GT that's in need of something called a kickdown wire? I'm unsure of what this is, exactly. I know it's something for his tranny. Anyways, where's a good place to price one of these things out? His b-day is coming up soon, and I'm tired of hearing him whine about it. :D

its a cable that runs down from the throttle linkage on an auto-tranny. what it does is when you give it enough gas the cable gets tension on it - thus down shifting. same as when your driving a manual and you down shift and floor it.

OK... That would explain the violent "CLUNK" when slowing down. :D So, where does one purchase one of these bad boys?
