Sweet stang! my 67 fastback is in Brainerd, a couple of hours north of you. I would definately wait till you get your other rims and tires before you alter your suspension any more. just my .02!

Cool.. There seems to be quite a few stangs hidding out here in MN.

Yeah, I think I will hold off on the cutting until I get new wheels.

My mustang has been sitting, not even driven, in our driveway for 10 years now. You never can tell what oklahoma weather will throw your way next so the body is in pretty bad shape.

Consider yourself a lucky one. Id much rather be doing little things like removing rust and fixing wires then having to pay for paint and body work. Lucky me, im stuck with having to pay for engine, transmission, possibly rear end, and paint and body work. Joy...

Just a little update..

I have had a chance to drive my car a bit and am getting a better feel for it.

I still need to get an alignment but I am waiting until the suspension settle and I can re-torque everything before I take it in. The alignment actually seems good for an eyeball job and it doesn’t pull to a side but I know I have to take it in..

As I posted on another thread I really like the way my car in handling. The Maier Rear leafs do a good job of planting the rear.

The engine runs great especially for not being tuned in over 12 years!!!
I want to change the cap rotor and plugs, but it is still running great. I haven’t touched the timing, plugs or carburetor. For those of you who knock Holley’s
my 650 Double pumper idles and responds fine. New gaskets and a clean out wouldn’t hurt it but like I said I don’t want to mess with anything since it seems to be running fine..

I installed the Monte Carlo bar and it I like the fact that I can tie up some wires to it to clean up the look. The Mallory Unilite and Pro Master coil have a lot of wires that were dangling.

I am going to replace the fuel pump with a Chrome Holley one.

The motor runs cool. Just under 180 when driving and it goes up and down a bit as the thermostat opens and closes. When stopped in traffic or idling for a long time it creeps up to over 200. I have a 4-Row Rad.

I just installed a Fan Shroud and a New Flex fan. I’ll let you know what it does with the temp at idle.

I asked a question about a Harmonic Balancer.
I looked at mine and the rubber is coming apart in some places. It has seen better days.
Should I be worried?
