Guess I should get in on this, I haven't posted in forever due to starting a new job and finishing school.

Added a novi 2k and a built rear last year. Car put down 445/413 at the tires.

Good to see so many old schoolers here!!

My car has been mothballed for 4 years now, just sitting in the garage. Probably needs all new seals and stuff as it's only been started 2-3 times a year.

Well I drove the stang back from Tampa to West Palm Beach today. Put 195 miles on it today when before today Ive only put 93 miles on it since October!! I sold all my tuning stuff on corral, and now I'm gonna park it under a cover for a little. I think I'm going to sell the heads I have on there that VibrantRed sold me. Car ran really well today minus a weird high pitched creak at WOT from the tranny,.....I miss being able to take off ramps at 80mph!! A lot of fun to drive.....but using 3/4th of a tank in175 miles instead of getting 175 miles per 1/4 is depressing!!

Plan for the stang:

Park till summer,
Sell trickflow heads and replace with GT40, add EGR, stock MAF, Stock injectors and throttle body, sell the stuff thats on there now. Then hook up the nitrous kit I bought 4 years ago and never used. Then, ill try painting it again maybe christmas time (painter in 2007 did do so well). Its funny that after 6 years of those lame eagle saleen wannabes and 3+ years of no A/C....I add 18x9 and 18x10 chrome saleens and fix the A/C....and now I retire it! Makes no sense to me!

Bump.

Here's the stang on the back of my truck.

I was heavy into it for a bit, got the engine into the car but the pan's hitting the steering rack and so now i'm searching the classifieds for a swap pan. The previous owner had used shims in his mounts to clear the rack and I won't have any of that in my car.

New computer system is in, I went with the AEM Programmable EMS and hope to learn alot as I go about tuning that without exploding myself or the car.

Bought an 8 point roll cage that is also set for installation but not a priority at this point. It's an S&W Racecars peice and looks to be very solid.

STILL searching for a hood. I'd love to get my hands on the single step 3 inch cowl (like 4Jenna has) but I'm leary of paying the ridiculous amount of money that Cervinis wants for it, and refuse to buy the cheap knockoff that they sell on ebay.

I've got some more pics but they're not on this laptop

Car looks awesome man!

I went with the AEM as well. It's awesome, but a bit overwhelming if you've never done any tuning before. Buy a wide band with a gauge, I've had a ton of problems with my AEM UEGO controller. Also use a STOCK distributor....my MSD and a reman dizzy both give me a bunch of timing errors....but I've got an AEM EPM and LS1 coil packs ordered, which should fix that problem!

I've actually thought about doing the LS1 coil packs as well. I wouldn't mind reading up on it a bit more.

Luckily until then, I have the stock dizzy from another 351 I also have in my shed. Throughout the past few years, I've gained quite the collection of all kinds of good parts that I might need in the future. Once the car's up and running, I'll go through some of it and have a garage sale.

What did you do for your oil pan, anyway?

HAHA! Good to see you man, it's hard to pop in here as much as I used to but I still manage to lurk around every once in a while

And definitely still moving forward with it, just lots of speedbumps along the way

How've you been?

Hey fella! Thanks for the link. I was doing some research on the company, however, and it looks as though they are the same company that makes the ebay version "Hoods4Sale".

I may call them and see what they can offer for warranty, otherwise I think I'm going to have the bite the bullet and pay for the quality version from Cervinis

Cheers,

The oil pan came with the motor. It's a Canton knockoff, not sure of the actual brand.

Do you have the transmission in yet? IIRC my pan was hitting the steering rack, but when I got the trans installed the front of the motor lifted just enough to clear it.

If that doesn't work you might try some offset rack bushings.
