The oil pan came with the motor. It's a Canton knockoff, not sure of the actual brand.

Do you have the transmission in yet? IIRC my pan was hitting the steering rack, but when I got the trans installed the front of the motor lifted just enough to clear it.

If that doesn't work you might try some offset rack bushings.

Tranny isn't in yet, and actually I'd thought about that as well. Problem is that the engine isn't sitting onto the mounts properly so I'm not sure if the angle would improve that much. Swap pans are pretty easy to find so I'll probably just order one from Summit. I'll also look into the offset rack bushings though, might just help a little more!

I really can't wait to get this thing fired up, and once it's all together, I can get it out of the shop and get some pictures, maybe even hoodless for a while haha ( I remember Jessie's pics from years back with his 418 hoodless... I'm ok with that look for a few days, at least, even if it's against Ontario law)

Where are Guero and Oink...hrmmm?

How've you been?

Multiple back injuries (I currently have 2 vertebrae out of alignment), 1 major bowl surgery, and a butt load of weight due to so much down time (all this year too ). On a good note my wife is now a Staff Sergeant so my down time hasn't effected us one bit.

Ouch! Maybe I'm not up to date but what happened to cause all this mess? It's a good thing that your wife has been moving up in the world but at the same time, your health is just as important. You should move to Canada if you need ice for you back. It's free up here if you go far enough north.

Chiropractor suspects it's a mix between how I sleep (stomach) and what I do for a living (temper glass [lots of lifting, pushing, pulling]). So since she is moving up (going to train to be an evaluator on the C17 and air drop qualified when she returns from deployment) I'm pretty sure I'm going to quit so I can loose weight (lots of it) and find a less stressful thing to do in life.

haha yea, the one on my chest i had just started the day before we took those pics. its for him (and any future kids). Only got the outline drawn so far so its a bit confusing to see whats going on. Cant wait to get the shading done.

Quick cliff notes of it: Its my chest being opened up (u can see the chest bones broken off) and showing my heart with tubes/veins running out towards my shoulder. As they go in and out they form his initials NMJ II. The only letter you guys can see is the N....

It's good to see the old faces, I'll admit.

I dunno if it could ever be as busy as a few years ago, I know my schedule is ridiculous most of the time, but I've been popping in more often as of late

Yeah, if there's anyway a mod could rename this thread to "Stangnet Geezer Reunion", it would easier to find.

I'm on Facebook, Rob, but I'm pretty hard to find, I think.
