Lowered Mustangs

Can someone post some pic's of lowered 67-68 mustangs and give brief description of what you did. I want to lower my 67, have 5 leaf mid-eye on the rear and 620's up front. I was going to try a 1" lowering block from Mustang Plus in the rear and have the front springs cut. Any help is welcome.

I have 68 (67 shelby clone, no pics yet) sits perfect.
globalwest rear springs ,no lowering blocks needed (almost too low),
up front I did the shelby drop, with all global west suspension, and 620's, I did cut the 620's but I forget how much.
cut 1/4 coil at a time, dirve around let it settle, and repeat if neccessary.
dont forget when you change the ride height up front it needs to be re-aligned so just go around the block so you dont F-up your tires, bounce the front end up and down too.
do your front first until you're happy , then use lowering blocks if you have to.
Invest in some roller spring perches, best investment i've ever made.

The car is low and level.

sorry forgot to ask whats your backspace? I have a 9" wheel with 5" backspace with 275/40/17 I have 3/4" clearance to my leafspring and 1/4" clearance to my wheel well.
how were you able to fit that size tire/wheel??? how tight is it?
I dont see flares, and Im assuming you have leaf springs in the stock location?

can you send pics of the rear tires from under the car???

Lowering

check out my garage. I have 620 springs up front and reverse eye leafs in back. Up front I have done the Shelby upper a-arm relocation rather than cutting/blocking springs. I did cut come plugs from 1/2 inch steel round stock to insert and weld solid the old mount holes. Did not like the fact that the 2 holes were so close together.

send them to you tommarow... my 9" is 2" narrowed from stock.

i went to a 66 (1 3/4" shorter than a 67) rear end from my 67, then had my 9" made a 1/4" shorter from that width.

i have 5 1/2" of backspacing

Were you able to use standard mustang axles or are they custom?

Sorry for all the questions, but im really interested in doing something like that.
I need more rubber to the ground. any additional info when you post pics would be great.

look at my sig..

i broke 3 of the 67 8"s... went to a 66 8" to get a fatter tire...split the locker... so i had a 9" built by CURRIE which is a total of 2" shorter that the original 8" for a 67.

leaf springs in stock location... no mini tub!

but I still dont understand how you squeezed the 315's between the stock wheel well and stock leaf spring especially on a lowered car????
Are you sure they are 315 width?

thats like pouring a 16oz beer into a 12oz glass without it overflowing.

any close up shots from underneath where the tire meets the leaf spring?

I mean.. those don't look as wide as the 295/50/R15's I used to have. A 315 on a 17" rim (35 series)should be much wider than my old 295's on a 15" rim.

thanks for the pics. wow those are 315's.

If i wanted to fit the same for my car ,would you reccomend the same dimentions on the wheel or would you do anything different a far as wheel width or backspace.

Do your tires rub on the inner wheel well when you hit a bump or dip in the road, or when you have people in back seat??
Any rubbing on the leaf spring? or any where else?

They rub on the outside, its obvious in the pic. By the looks of it, tossing passengers in the back seat would be ugly
