i am performing an engine swap in my 91 gt vert
its a 302 with edlebrock heads, edlebrock intake, ford racing headers,24lb injectors and such rated at 355 hp natural
the custom garge thats doing the work was going to put a pro-m maf on it but wont now that they are out of buisness
he said they will but a tunable superchip custom in it and use the stock maf. im confused because the stock maf is for 19 lb injectors. will the stock maf work with a tuned chip or should i replace the maf with a 24 lb maf
also when installing a maf is it like plug and play or do i have to get that tuned too.?

What he says about the chip is correct. The computer can be told how to deal with the new injectors and will be more precise than a calibrated meter. the problem is with the stock meter size. It will end up being a restriction. If you're going to have a custom chip burned to accomodate the meter then I would consider finding a larger meter instead of wasting hard earned cash on a chip and programming for the stock one.

Edit: A "plug-n-play" calibrated meter will be the most cost effective option though.
