i just got my new x 305 heads,and holley systemax intake,f cam i wanted to upgade my maf and injectors when i swap all the parts over i talked to the guy at c&l he said that my bbk intake tube would not work well with the upgraded maf since it goes in the fenderwell i have a stormn norman hood they make a kit that uses the front cowls and stock air box but im not sure what to do has anyone had this problem or know of a better way/any idea on what injector size to go with i might mightnot put a super charger on in the future

The MAF meter does need a length of the intake tubing just before and just after the sensor to be straight. This allows the airflow to 'straighten out' after a turn.
Because C&L meters sample from the outer edge of the housing, a bend in the inlet tubing can cause some serious sampling issues.
It sounds like C&L still promotes the use of the factory airbox...

gank an airbox from the 'bay and take the baffles out. it is proven to flow just as well as the most of the aftermarket parts.
