Well I was out racing my car and realized after a couple of launches, it felt like the ass end of the car was washed out or moving or something. Then I realized that when I get in the throttle even in third gear the driver side tire starts spinning like a big dog. I go home but it on Jacks stands and find that the Driver side torque box is just all messed up. Its bent upwards and it has two huge cracks in it. I out lined them in the pic.
Can these be welded? Should I put my car on an alingment maching? Any suggestions in what to do?

OOF! I'd say it can be fixed, but you'll have to reconstruct the area with some thicker metal...and I'm sure you'll have to put in on a machine, eyeballing something like that-unless you're really lucky or really good-could lead to the car driving "crabbed" and some...let's call them religious experiences while driving

doesn't someone make aftermarket weld in torq boxes?

Have any of you over tried Wild rides reinforcement torque Box plates?
Iam bringing it to a frame shop in the morning to see what they can do. I hope it goes back to the way it was. I was launching on street tires with all stock suspension and running 1.95, 60 foots.

Wow,that is a pretty good 60ft for stock and street radials.

Yea,I know about the Wild Rides reinforcements, but that just the problem, you already have torn them and it need to be straitend and welded back up befor you install them.

Side and bottom, weld some 1/4" mild steel once it striat and they wont tear again, lol.

Yo guys I had problems with my torque boxes on my fox mustang. I bought a couple of kits to fix the problem and still have one for sale.

It includes everything pictured, and installation instructions.

Let me know if anyone needs these...

I cannot be certain (because I've not laid eyes on this kit) but I believe that the links below are for a kit used to repair damaged lower torque boxes as well as the reinforcements. There's a contact link in the first URL.. Give em a holler and see if that's the case.

This link will take you to the ebay store:

I see only the battle boxes on the ebay add but the first link shows additional pieces.
