1. do new plug wires benefit from stock ones? why? what size?
2. brass or aluminum terminals for the distributor cap? why?
3. what are some decent plugs? material? heat range?
4. what size fuel filter? which type works best for stock applications?
5. do chrome radiator hoses serve any purpose other than looks?
6. is there different stopping power for different kinds of brake pads? if so which stop the best?
7. is there any other way to pass emission w/ an o/r pipe other than switching back to stock or paying the guy off?

1)Plug wires are always reccomended as a tune-up item, along w/ plugs, cap and rotor.
2)I have an msd cap w/ brass terminals
3)Autolite 25s. Copper hot plugs
4)sotck replacement fuel filter works fine. I think i got mine from pacesetter for about $10
5)No other purpose besides the looks. I actually like my rubber hoses because if i need to get to something under neath them, i just bend them out of the way. Whereas chrome hoses would have to be taken off everytime, resulting in coolant coming out also.
6)I have heard some good things about ceramic pads, such as better stopping power and less brake dust. Although, i couldnt find anyone that made them for our cars. I just decided to get some regulat ones from Pacesetter for about $40 for all 4.
7)Im pretty sure you need cats. Im also pretty sure that bribing the tester is illegal. Just try to register it someplace near that doesnt require emmissions.

if you have stock heads, Autolite 25's are a stock replacement plug and what many guys run (me too). Motorcraft plugs are also great. not sure what the dimensions and pitch are though.
if you have GT40 or aftermarket heads, plugs will be different.

good luck.

1. I'm not real sure on any real benifits with aftermarket wires but I really like my 9mm Ford Motorsport wires...they look nice

2. I believe OEM has brass terminals...so that is what I went with. An OEM cap.

3. Yeah, for stock heads Autolite 25's gapped around .050-.052 seem to do well on older ignitions...stock gap is .052-.056...

4. Motorcraft FG800A - stock replacement fuel filter.

5. Just for looks...and some are made to clear the mounting of a supercharger.

6. I think Hawk makes some good brake pads - www.maximummotorsports.com

7. A tune and keeping your car in good running shape...but other than that I don't know

Nick, it might be for the 83's?? But the 87-95's is .052-.056 for the given gap in manuals like Chilton/Haynes I believe.

I think David is right, though someone has posted before that at some point in the aero years, the coil changed and the gap was dropped down to the spec you listed Nick. Other people refuted this person's info, so it may have been some oddball thing.

My VECI sticker says .052-.056" (88 GT vert).

The Owners Manual, The Sticker under the hood, and my Factory Ford Service Manual ALL say .052 - .056 for my 92 GT.

Lol of corse bribing the tester is illegal. Thats why its called a bribe. Either way, theres much worse things you can do in life, like ricing out your car.

Carbureted plug gap is .044"......fuel injection is .052-.056" (assuming stock ignition) If you have an aftermarket high power ignition, you can go wider because it's a stronger spark.

I don't know about the auto-lite part #'s, but I do know that since you've got a 94-95, we use different spark plugs than the 87-93.
Fox's run asf42c's
94-95 asf32c's

That's weird that the 94-95 would run different plugs.....they still use E7TE heads right?
