Does the inner rubber boot go over the Shift Stops like shown in this pic?

- If so, won't this disrupt the seal and damage the rubber eventually?
- If not, then how should the rubber be after the stops are installed?

Thanks.

There should be 2 small holes on each side of that boot where the stops stick out.

ALSO... Where the hell is this Rubber Grommet the instructions mention in Step 9??? No such grommet was included in the package I received from MGW! How vital is this part? This is all starting to really piss me off!

Thats the grommet that seals the factory boot to the MGW shaft I thinks more for noise suppression than anythig else . I don't think would hurt to leave it out if you need to drive it . I would call MGW and see if they would send me one though.

The rubber boot has no such holes in it.

You don't really need that grommet. I didn't use mine.

They must have changed the design of those boots. I got mine about 4 years ago and it has a hole on each side for the stop bolt to go through.

Also, if you have a t3650, alot of people do not use the stops. It is said the 3650 has its own internal stops. I like to err on the side of caution so I used mine also, lol!
