Midas Flowmaster Quotes should be a Crime

Well I called around today to see how much I could get one 2 chamber flowmaster for. I've had mine for about 5 years, and the other day i could hear something inside making some noise on the driver side one..annoying!

So I call Midas..and say I need ONE 2 chamber flowmaster muffler, installed, and obvioulsy my bad one removed.

700$ for two

I say for just the mufflers, no catback or anything, he says ya...I start to laugh and say serious man...he says I am serious. I was like why so much..."Thats what I pay for um"

Unreal, they wanted to charge my wife $370 for a muffler for her Honda Civic. I bought it Napa for $115 and had it on within 10 minutes.

That's crazy man...Freakin ripoff. What a perfect opportunity to go to a straight through system with that x pipe I have a spare mac chambered system...unless you want to stick with a replacement flow. Or you could try Mesa muffler, heard they're decent.

I found a dude local thats hooking me up (stang guy) said he can get me the muff for 40 bucks...and have another dude that will weld it in for 75 bucks..so that sounds a lil better lol!

yeah,there nuts.my little brother went to one to get a dynomax muffler for his girlfriends car that advance auto and summit sell for like $35 and they told him $90.he said i don't need it installed and they said that was just for the muffler.he immediately left and went to the local speedshop and ordered a flowmaster for $70.

Im getting sick of my SLP and went to a local muffles shop who quoted my $210 for a couple of 2 chambers welded in.

Needless to say Im looking into a whole catback of something I dont know what yet.

Actually Im going to try something new. Something noone has ever had on a mustang. At least I dont think so. Maybe next month though.

LOL, I going to go with B&B TriFlo. They dont yet have a catback system for mustangs but I emailed them earlier today because they are closed and Im going to give them some conversation. Ill probably just buy the mufflers from them, and then go with the pipes from the mac catback with the chrome tips. And just have a muffler shop weld it all in.
