Ya' know, water pump reviews are all over the place. I've read Flowkooler quality has gone downhill. There's no way I'm paying over $200 for a water pump, really Edelbrock? I want a Motorcraft unit but nobody has one.

The O'Reilly water pump works for me. I also have an over drive WP pulley.

New water pump is going on tomorrow. Looks like radiator will be here Friday. Then it's just a matter of hooking up with Steve and getting the final tune.

New pump is installed. Tried several different pulley configurations and this is what I ended up with. My 3g alternator came with a pulley. It was just a hair smaller than the underdrive. I ended up with the stock alternator, and ud water and crank. Nothing else would work. I'm definitely going to look to swap the alternator to the drivers side. Will free up so much room. Also,my clutch fan is leaking fluid. Another $60. Radiator is apparently taking Route 66 to get here. It's been in Illinois since yesterday. Murphy's Law... .

Finally, overheating issue averted. I have never had a car hold air like this one. Yesterday I swore I would be doing headgaskets, but no,just air. Put about 15 miles on it today, runs 190*,happy with that. Now next issue,no boost. Idk what's going on there, gonna go over it tomorrow.

Got the no boost issue fixed, vacumn line off wastegate incorrectly hooked up. Car runs like a scalded dog. Should have the tune finalized with Steve next week. Also, decided to make the template for my hood scoop. Got that done and the test fit looks good.

Little update, was buttoning up my pressure plate, got to the last bolt and heard the dreaded pop. I can't believe I just stripped the flywheel. At that point I just quit and drowned my sorrows in Busch light. So I got back at it this morning to try and extricate the bolt. For whatever reason,I tried another bolt,it popped too. , I thought I was really screwed at this point. So I went to the toolbox to look for another socket. I was rolling the other socket in my fingers and something felt off. It was cracked! Whew! Disaster averted So I got it buttoned back up,have to wait til tomorrow to stab the trans, then Steve can FINALLY finish tuning this car. Oh, my stick tires showed up as well

Got the alternator buttoned up. It's still really close but it works. Waiting on the new coupler to complete the turbo build. Still need to install the 255 walbro as well.

Where did you source this turnbuckle?

Had to take a week off from this build. Head wasn't clear and I was making mistakes. So,I was having a problem getting an accurate boost signal. There's no port on the turbo for this,so I made my own. 1/8 npt hose barb and drilled in the discharge. Short run to the wastegate with new line and we've got boost. Going to add an electronic boost solenoid so the Megasquirt can control boost. Unfortunately, the rear main is still leaking. I'm not sure if I have to much crankcase pressure or what. Going to vent both covers to a catch can to see if that helps.

Yes,it's included with the turbo kit. But,I already had one on there, maybe a March performance unit. So I still have the On3 kit brand new if you're interested.

The rear main is a problematic sob... lets talk case pressure, I assume you have the pcv system vented in some way?

Agreed,I think my problem is more crankcase pressure than anything. I have the pcv valve gutted, and a filter on. And just an open k&n style breather for the stock valve cover. That's it. I'm planning on venting both covers to a catch can. Unless there's a better way I'm all ears.

Small update. Installed a Pro 5.0 shifter. This was a PITA. The two forward bolts are WAY under the trans tunnel. I was able to remove them with a swivel head ratcheting wrench. However, install no bueno. Had to jack the car up and install the bolts from underneath...bleh. Also started installation of an electronic boost solenoid, which requires a new lead on the Megasquirt. Have all the parts coming for catch can install so I can properly vent this engine. Never ending story just like everyone else......
