Ok. Time to make a duplicate of my car. I don’t think I’ll find 1:18 size 01 cobra wheels, but I found some wheels that kinda look like the cosmis wheels I want to run.

That’s incredible!!! Wow! I want one!!!!! Lol 3D printer? Great job with that and as usual with everything you do! Absolutely awesome!!!!!

Well I wish I could take credit but this is a model that can be purchased.

I just need to swap out a few parts to make it like mine. Basically going to swap out the wheels and Display it

Hadn’t bought anything cool for the car in a while. Decided to buy an oil separator

The MM strut tower brace throws a little wrench into the install. If the ac line wasn’t there it would prob install fine.

Looks like I either need to try and carefully bend up the ac line, or go over the top with a spacer

Either cut/weld it to fit under (my preference), or space over the top. That's better than the one that was put on my Cobra engine as the jackwagons bolted it to the C/C plate bolts. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to run a MM STB going forward, I know my 5.0 version won't fit and what sucks is MM is out of stock on the 96-98 Cobra version with no ETA.

I have one hanging from the STB using a black anodized 1"(?) split clamp. It's clamed to the passenger side bar just ahead of the pinch weld.
Will try for a pic if wanted.
If you I would cut the bend off the bracket and drill a new hole allowing it to go under the AC hose.

The bracket is annodized aluminum. I don’t have the means to weld aluminum without buying equipment, which doesn’t make sense.

I could design up and laser cut a new bracket and powdercoat it, but I actually like the logo on the bracket.

I need to unclamp the axcumulator and see if I can cheat the ac hose up the 1/4” it needs. I doubt it will go due to the evap holding it fast.

Too risky to put a tool on the ac line and bend it. Could rupture the line if I break it.

I’ll sleep on this. Not in a rush.

Do not break the AC for a bracket... logo or not.

I'm not touching the A/C line.

I think i can just tweak the bracket in a vice. Take some of the bend out and that should lower the height and be able to sneak it under the A/C line. Shouldn't be hard to do.

And after some modification to the bracket.

I had to drill the hole out to 7/16” for the larger bolt for the STB. I took the bend down a little bit

However here’s the final issue. Relaxing the bend pushed the unit foward a bit. As a result, it hits the throttle bracket. Without the STB you could pivot over to the pass side, but for obvious reasons I can’t do that.

Easy solution. Since I’m a 5-spd, just chop that part I don’t need off. Problem solved.

I'm going to swap out that hardware. I think some nice black allen head screws will look nicer

What's the " separater" part look like? Most of the kits I've seen are no better designed then the $12 China crap on fleabay

That’s because the China crap looks like a direct clone of the JLT/J&L stuff.

This is basically what I have. Same separator part. Reviews aren’t stellar though.

Thought I posted this, but not sure where it went. Probably went into someone else’s thread??

Anyway I broke the egr hard vac line while installing the jlt oil separator. So I bought some replacement line from dorman

Then I thought to myself. Why the hello kitty am I fixing this when it gets deleted anyway when I go to MS?

So, I pulled the EGr stuff off

Installed my block off plate and the self-made egr simulator for now. I’ll likely put a resistor across the solenoid leads to eliminate that code as well.

When will I be going to MS. Soon I hope. Finger is healing quite well and starting to get dexterity back. Prob need another week or two and I can start to manipulate fine tools. TBH with the holidays coming up, I might not start til after Jan. Don’t be surprised if that turns into March :)

Sorry been a while. Not much work on the 1:1 done lately. To be honest it was nice to take a break. I’ll jump back on it after the holidays.

In the meantime, started modding the 1:18 scale.
